May 16th -------- Arrive & Drive to Turrialba (Casa Turire )


With the arrival time it works great to make the trip to Turrialba. If they are not rafting is still a great area as they will have views of the erupting volcano and it will be half way to the beach of the Caribbean. When we arrive we will actually have some time in the evening just to relax, do some evening briefing, and even kick the ball around if they would like. We love the option of Homestays whenever possible but as you know we can also offer the close by option of Casa Turire. (Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, & Dinner)


May 17th -------- Soccer Practice/Game & Evening Activities in Village (Casa Turire )


We will begin the day with some soccer practice. If they would like we can organize a day camp for the kids in the village and then at the end of the camp a game against one of the locals. It could be a local girls team which really is not that good or a guys team of teenage age or older its your call. In the evening the kids will shower up and we will we will have the evening presentations that we do in the village many of the kids they will know from the day of camp.

Game Info - Todays match up will be against Costa Rica first division women's team champions. This is a team made up of some of the top players in Costa Rica and it will be a great experience for the local village to host such a game. (Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, & Dinner)


May 18th -------- Raft Pacuare & Soccer Game (Almonds & Corales)


Today it is a day of rafting on one of the top 5 rivers on the planet according to National Geographic. This is a great day on the river and it makes up ground on our way out to the Caribbean. After the morning of rafting it is back to the field for an evening match up against another womens team.

Game Info - Todays match up will be against a first division womens team but not the champions. This team placed 6th in the first division league. (Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, & Dinner)


May 19th -------- Travel to Caribbean (Almonds & Corales)


Today is a travel day out to the Caribbean side. When we arrive the kids will have a chance to play kick around the ball in the sand and enjoy very nice meals during our stay in Almonds & Corals. (Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, & Dinner)


May 20th -------- Soccer Experience & Surf Classes (Almonds & Corals)

Today is a day of mixing some more local fun and soccer as we organize a local match up. This game will be less competitive than the others and there will be time for a practice before or after the game. For the second half of the day it will be time for the beach and a chance to catch some waves. We will have lessons of how to surf and then everyone will have the board for awhile to perfect their new learned skills.

Game Info - Today will be a friendly match up against a local Caribbean Team. The idea of maybe mixing teams will be an option. (Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, & Dinner)


May 21st -------- Zipline (Almonds & Corals)

You can not visit Costa Rica without seeing some monkeys, sloths, and the beautiful rainforest. The best way to do this is to hang out where they hang out. Here everyone will be strapped into a climbing gear and you will go zipping through the rainforest. In the afternoon we will take you to another nearby beach of Manzanillo where you can enjoy one of the best swimming beaches in all of Costa Rica.  (Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, & Dinner)

May 22nd ------- Fly Home!


Today we will leave the Caribbean early breakfast and make the 3 hour drive back to the (SJO) San Jose Airport to catch the flight home. (Meals: Breakfast)

Oak Hall 10-Day 2012

Day 1 ------- Arrive & Drive to Dominical (Dominical Hotel)


Today you will be met outside the airport by your private guide and driver. If you can come in on a morning or midday flight, we will make our way to the Central Pacific where we will spend one night. Here we will have an orientation of what to expect during the trip and things to get your ready for the Cave Adventure tomorrow.  (Meals: Dinner)


Day 2 ------- Enter Cave & Rappel (Sleep Behind Waterfall)


We will wake up and eat a filling breakfast as we will be burning it off hiking to the cavern. Then we will head up the mountains on a ridge that leads to amazing views of the Pacific Ocean and a chance to be surrounded by primary rainforest. When we arrive we will have lunch, relax for a bit, and then get geared up to rappel a 100 ft waterfall. This is an amazing adventure that the kids love! In the evening we will walk to the top of a 600 ft waterfall where we will watch the sunset over the Pacific and then hike back to the cavern to enjoy the evening camping activities. (Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, & Dinner)


Day 3 ------- Leave Cave & Drive to Turrialba (Casa Turire)


After hiking to some pools where we can hop off a small waterfall we will then make our way to the town of Turrialba. This is a long drive but we end up at the very nice Casa Turire Hotel with views of the smoking Turrialba Volcano. (Note: We also have a homestay option these two nights. This is an great project we have going and it is always everyone's favorite part of the trip, living with the families for two nights. We keep everyone active and all the homes are very close to each other). (Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, & Dinner)


Day 4 ------- Visit Sitio de Mata Community Service (Casa Turire)


Today we will visit the village of Sitio de Mata and do community service. This is a day to give back to the community and if we are doing the homestay option this is the same village we will be helping. The project will consist of building something or helping out in some way around the village. (Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, & Dinner)

Day 5 ------- Enter Pacuare (Camp Pacuare)


Today we will enter what National Geographic has listed as one of the top five rivers on the planet. This is a beautiful day of fun and adventure so we decided to make it two days. We will be sleeping in a tent camp on this beautiful river. This is a memorable experience, waking up in the rainforest and the sound of the river. (Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, & Dinner)


Day 6 ------- Leave Pacuare & Drive to Caribbean (Almonds & Corales)


After breakfast at the camp we will raft down the famous Pacuare Canyon,  the most beautiful and biggest rapids of the river. It will be a day of fun and getting soaked for sure. After we take out of the river we will drive two hours to the Caribbean. We will be staying in Almonds and Corals which was voted Costa Rica's top ecolodge. This is a real treat as this lodge is not only luxurious but it is as environmental friendly as you can get and we plan to make this lesson all part of the visit to the lodge. (Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, & Dinner)


Day 7 ------- Indigenous Community Service (Almonds & Corales)


Today is another day of community service where we plan on visiting the local indigenous tribe Bri-bri. Here we will develop another project which will give us a day of helping in the area. In the evening it is back to the ecolodge and a chance to get into the ocean. (Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, & Dinner)


Day 8 ------- Drive to Arenal (Casa Luna Lodge)


We'll head to the famous Arenal Volcano today. You will have spectacular views of the volcano from your Casa Luna Hotel room. Today is a travel day from the Caribbean but we'll arrive in the early afternoon to the Arenal area. (Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, & Dinner)


Day 9 ------- Zipline & Organic Farm (Casa Luna Lodge)


The top zipline in all of Costa Rica is the one you will be doing today. Not a bad way to end the trip? This has amazing views and not to mention hangs 700ft above the rainforest floor. After the zipline we will enjoy our favorite meal in all of Costa Rica and that is a visit to Don Juan's organic farm. (Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, & Dinner)


Day 10 ----- Fly Home!


We'll make the two hour drive to the airport today to catch your flight back to G-ville! (Meals: Breakfast)
