Marzo 30 -- Arrive and drive to Sitio de Mata (Homestays)
Today your driver and guides will meet you outside of the airport. This year Tom and Luigi will be with the group all 7 days. Its going to be a fun 7 days full of adventure, fun, community service and culture from start to finish.
From the airport we will make the 2 hour drive to Sitio de Mata just outside of the larger city of Turrialba. Here you will meet your new families and experience rural life to it's finest. This first day will be a chance to get situated in the village and get our bearings for the next three days. (Meals: Breakfast snack, Lunch & Dinner)

Today is a day of seeing and experiencing the local culture for the festivals of Holy Week. We will take part in different processions and activities of the village. There really is no better time to be in Sitio de Mata with all family members home, sharing time together and enjoying the beauty of living in such a tight-nit community setting.
This day may offer some time for tortilla classes, a soccer game and/or community service with the local kids which they always are hoping for. (Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, & Dinner)
Abril 1 -- Rafting on Pacuare Day Trip (Homestays)

Get ready for what we consider the best adventure in all of Costa Rica. We like to think many of the kids today get too much screen time and not enough stream time! Well today it is four hours of fun and adventure in what National Geographic has listed as one of their top five rivers on the planet for scenery.
The Pacuare River is surrounded by virgin rainforest and filled with adventurous rapids that will keep us soaked from start to finish and a chance to fully take in this vibrant area of nature.
In the afternoon it is back to the village of Sitio de Mata where we will have our farewell dinner. I promise you that you will not be disappointed. (Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Abril 2 -- Enter Cavern (Sleep Behind Waterfall)

Today we will say good-bye to our homestay families and make a very scenic drive over the Central Mountain range of Costa Rica that rises up to 11,000ft. Here we will have views of the Pacific and Caribbean coasts from the same spot.
After our picturesque drive we will begin a semi-strenuous hike that will take us to one of the most unique places you will find anywhere. Here we will be sleeping behind a waterfall and be in a land of waterfalls for the next two days. (Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, & Dinner)
Abril 3 -- Rappel & Hike to Pools (Sleep Behind Waterfall)

Today is a day of fun and adventure in the land of waterfalls. We will start by rappeling a 120ft waterfall and then hike to some pools where the kids can jump off a 15ft waterfall into a pristine pool surrounded by tropical jungle.
In the afternoon we will make our way to the top of Diamante Falls where we will watch the sunset over the Pacific Ocean. (Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, & Dinner)
Abril 4 -- Visit Pacific Ocean & Travel to Airport Hotel (La Condesa Hotel)

Today we will be traveling back to the Central Valley where we will have a farewell dinner and reminise about our last 7 days of adventure and fun. We will enjoy a farewell dinner this evening. On the journey back we plan to allow everyone to get their feet wet in the Pacific. (Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, & Dinner)
Abril 5 -- Fly Home!
Today we will be transporting you to the San Jose Airport for your journey home and with memories to cherish for a lifetime. (Meals: Breakfast)
